Critical skills for speech
This program is designed to strengthen presentation ability, which can be a weakness among many students. It helps students to overcome their fear of performing in front of others and strengthen their confidence. This program provides continual training in vocalization, expression, gesture, and eye contact. Students' performances are recorded and are provided on DVDs.
Original Oratory is an advanced course in which students gain practice in public speech. Students write essays on a given topic, which are then fully critiqued by a professional and then presented orally by the students. The class covers five important stages of writing and presentation: reading, research, writing, memory, and speech. As students present their own work, they will gain valuable skills and experience that will improve their critical reading and writing skills and also prepare them for various public speech contests.
